Among the issues being debated at County Hall in recent weeks is a radical shake-up of the County Council’s 12 Area Committees, originally conceived to bring County Council meetings out of Truro and into local communities. The number of Committees will be increased from 12 to 16 to boost their relevance to individual communities. An Objective One funded project based in the Helston and Lizard areas may result in young people designing and implementing their own services.
